I tend to incorporate a mix of above ground and below ground vegies when making my own BARF patties. I grate them first then whizz them to a pulp in the food processor then spin them in a salad spinner to leave just a pulp not juice.

I use:

Zuchini (corgette for my American friends!)
Bok Choy
Tomato
Sweet Potato (yam)
Carrot
Apple

Hmmm, I haven't tried any with Ash yet...though, he does have a thing for the bunnies lettuce and parsley

Once I get settled, I will see what his favorites are.

Sandy loves carrots.
Some other ones I use are apples, zuchini, tomatoes, lima beans (dry, not canned- canned has too much sodium), peas (frozen; not canned), lettuce, potatoes (ALWAYS cooked and never the peel), sweet potatoes... and I could go on and on. But, those are her favorites.
